      KNXP is the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Ctr. The base is under R-2501S about 15 NM NW of Twentynine Palms airport and is used for air and ground live fire training and support ops. The runway, taxiways and ramp area are extruded aluminum planking instead of pavement which is the modern equivalent of the PSP we used in Vietnam. NW ramp is for fixed wing and SW is for rotorcraft. Good for MV-22 & H-3 ops.
