    FAPS Potchefstroom used to be an air force base and was de-activated in 1993. The civil airport was fenced off from the military base. The old military taxiways were included in the custom scenery, but only up to the fence. The civil runway was extended recently, and a turn pad included for RWY 21. The current road network at that end encroaches on the turn pad, and a road exclusion zone was added here.
