This airport is unclaimed. You can lock the airport to announce to the world that you’re working on it and prevent duplicate work from being submitted.
- 69658 – HeadwindH 07/10/2019MO06: Discovery Bay, Shell Knob, MO overlooking Table Rock Lake. Re-submission for road network duplication. I found a scenery package in my X-Plane folder that was changing the road network and made many road not visible are moved roads somewhat. I removed that package and now see the roads that were duplicated. Removed the poly roads, adjusted connections to the now visible roads and made other necessary adjustments. This should work. - 69550 – HeadwindH 07/06/2019MO06 Discovery Bay: Re-sub of declined 69386 for duplicate road network. I'll try again but I found no duplicate of any default road except for a smooth merge by a few pixel of the road poly with the default road northeast outside of boundry. No default road was or is in view in my X-Plane at the highest object load settings or in WED anywhere near the airport. A perimeter road with homes is obvious around the airport and out to the northeast toward a default road. I depicted that road with a poly. I moved the airport border that I preceived by sat view inward away from the poly road. I moved the poly drive to the house and the house itself away from the southend of the runway and grass taxiway. I don't know what else to do without specific detail. I understand that road polys are not very will liked in the gateway but IMHO they are visually better than nothing where no real road exists or the default road is poorly place, which is common. - 69386 – HeadwindH 07/01/2019MO06: Discovery Bay, Shell Knob, MO, a private 1900x50' alphalt runway 01/19 over-looking Table Rock Lake. Full 3D build new to the Gateway. The Gateway incorrectly has MO06 as 'Lamar Barton Co Meml Hospital' helipad. MO06 is the correct FAA data for Discovery Bay. Nobody local can tell me what the correct FAA ID is for that helipad now, if any. Reference my XSG-8038 report, FAA, and Airnav have had MO06 for Discovery Bay for some years. This is a short one-way airport with a steep uphill run to the north with rising terrain and forest rising from lift-off. Land north, take-off south over the lake. 'Flattening' of this airport caused a mess of the lake and shoreline nearby so was not flattened. The uphill slope is constant and the runway is almost flat laterally. It is pretty realistic and the lake and shoreline is preserved. No tidal wave. :) NO NOVICE PILOTS HERE! It is a beautiful area. HeadwindHSee comments
