When making the final turn to align with the runway 19 at FACT in an RNAV approach (APKUV transition), the plane makes a wider radial that leaves it misaligned with the runway to the left.
I checked the 'Recommended' submission for this airport on the Gateway. The runways are aligned perfectly with ortho imagery. RNAV is not a precision approach method.
Some SA airports you will not always align with center line 100%. This is due to the information supplied by SACAA in terms of headings, which are rounded
Ok, I hear you. I've tried FAOR and FALE, these seem ok. I will try FAGG later this evening and I'll let you know, but definitely an RNAV approach at FACT leaves you way off the runway. Is it fixable on your end though?
I reported this before and the conclusion was that there will be no fix. I've uploaded an image of what the RNAV 19Z approach looks like on final. Look where the runway is and what the PFD is indicating as the center of the runway...

There is no tower like that in XP11.55 default. It is likely something that you have installed - possibly with your local scenery. I was going to say that it could be the antenna representing a NDB transmitter, but they look different in XPlane default, so again this is probably something changed on your installation by a third party addon.
Thanks Jan, I found the culprit "w2xp_W-Cape_and_Overstrand". I added it about 2 years ago in the elusive quest to continually improve scenery. I didn't notice the tower earlier because I was using TDG's version of FACT at the time. it became apparent when I decided to check XP11.55 default FACT.
My apologies and thanks for your response.
Thanks for checking back in here with confirming your solution. I sometimes shoot from the hip a bit with my analysis so I am always happy to hear that I wasn´t off the mark 😉

Hi.I try to upload the airport of Capetown but struggle.Any help

It's not clear to me whether you believe the airport is mislocated, or if the approach information is incorrect. Can you clarify?

I've tried RNAV approaches from the two main runways at this airport Rwy01 and Rwy19. These runways are misaligned...

I will check this, but this scenery was designed in XP10 and I have had no issues like you have reported in XP11 with an ILS approach.
I need to update this in XP11

ILS approaches seem a bit ok when appraoching rwy19, but rwy01 is misaligned. RNAV approaches are completely off.....

Runway alignment is satisfactory vs ortho imagery. VNAV is not a precision approach method.
Dear member
RNAV is a non precision approach, using waypoints and calculated decent profile. There is no autoland for RNAV, ILS only
Therefore, you will not align with the runway 100% i.e. RWY 19 ILS CRS=189 deg but CT402 RWY19 is CR= 226 deg

I'm using XP11.55 r2. This tower has been there since May 2020. Please check the attached images.
