Not sure if it's related to the airport design or the Xplane scenery database, but this airport is listed as closed... Appearing on charts with an x over the marker and the name stroked out. Grosse Isl Airport is not closed. Where/how can this be corrected?
The airport is not closed, however within xplane, it cannot be brought up when searching using the GPS for the ICAO code. I think it might have something to do with the metadata, but I am not sure.
That indeed has to do with the scenery's metadata. If an airport is marked as closed (with an prefixed [X]) it indicates X-Plane to show it up visually, only (that is, neither visible on the map nor searchable via GPS/FMS).
Ah ok, how can this be changed? I've done some scenery updates before, and I'm willing to work on this one, but how would I modify the airport to remove the closed status?

Basically by removing the prefixed [X] in the airfield name (scenery meta data).
