The dimensions, location and heading of this airport's runway are wrong and, probably, also the accuracy of the whole airport if derived from the runway's data. The data published by Portuguese Government are:
THRESHOLD RW05:
32°41’23.75” N = 32.68993056 / 016°47’01.50” W = -16.78375000
THRESHOLD RW23:
32°42’21.03” N = 32.70584167 /016°45’54.54” W = -16.76515000

There is an overpass which runs across the runway rendering this scenery useless. How was this approved for Xplane ? The overpass is maybe 6 ft off the runway surface.
It has been uploaded because there is no such overpass with the default scenery on my system (see attached image). I am sure the moderator doesn't have one either. Maybe you have some other scenery installed? I use it with X-Europe and Ortho4XP, and it works there too.
I second what flyingpauls says - I created ID 79350 and there was no road across the airport (cant see the attached images you guys posted, they dont load for me).
It is probably some third-party road scenery installed incorrectly (in the scenery order ABOVE the global airports, so exclusion zones cant work on it).

The terrain elevation issue makes LPMA unflyable with contoured runways turned on. Is this issue scenery or LR related?

Sincere apologies, I had an LPMA ortho folder in my custom scenery which messed up the gateway scenery. Please disregard and accept my apologies.

Hi Locvirtual,
Do you have a screenshot? I have LPMA and I can fly just fine.
I use the standard mesh as well.
Thanks for your help.

Cheers and have fun flying.

Apron has an approx 8% grade downhill slope when it is flat in reality: https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/9578186

An unfortunate side effect of the very challenging terrain mesh at LPMA, cant be fixed easily.
airport building is in thei air ! see jpg.

Fixed by recent submissions, thanks!
There are big bumps at the end of RW05 where planes turn around after backtracking. Please see attached screenshots.
