Ulaangom airport was rebuilt and opened in August 2019. I am re-designing this model as the new airport to replace the existing model of the old airport. The new airport has the same ICAO code but has now been renamed ZMUG Deglii Tsagaan Airport.

The boundary of ZMUG follows the road for more than the length of the airfield. The defined line seen in the Satellite images that looks like a boundary is the drainage ditch used to keep the airfield dry in flash flood situations. There is a fence around this ditch, primarily to stop people falling into it. I have resubmitted the design to make the boundary comply with the drainage ditch in the hope that it will be accepted.
