It would appear to have to do with the windowing system and automatic download of Slippy MAP ESRI Imagery. It appears that f the window is zoomed before the map finishes loading WED crashes. I think. I have submitted crash reports.

    Unfortunately I can not reproduce this. The crash report also does not suggest the actual crash is ocurring in any code related to slippy maps. But those crash reports also provide zero information about the circumstances or events leading up to the crash.

    Please povide the earth.wed.xml that is loaded when it crashed, prefrably saved right before a crash occurrs. So opening it gets me into the exact state ready for the crash. Then I need a description about the exact steps taken to make it crash.

    I can't provide either. WED becomes unstable when opening scenery files and voila crash to desktop. I have provided all that I have.

    You stated in your initial report it occurrs when zooming in while the slippy map is still loading. Is that description still correct ?
    What happens if you create a new scenery with the "New" button and open that ? If this works, please disable slippy maps in case its already enabled and then download the airport "7S3" from the scenery gateway. At which point does this crash ?

    I have figured it out. I had a scenery library that was conflicting with another and caused x-plane plus WED to become unstable resulting in CTD.
