Hello Ben,

I've seen that you have advised someone to add this feature request to this base (http://developer.x-plane.com/2015/01/editing-gateway-airports-and-bit-rot/#comment-9919)

But i haven't found it here so here it is!

I think it would be a good feature to have this, i think that public sceneries would get better in terms of accuracy and overall quality.

I think a "reliable WMS" could be this one, it's a Polish official government WMS, it should be good for testing: http://mapy.geoportal.gov.pl/wss/service/img/guest/ORTO/MapServer/WMSServer

    WED 1.8 does have - besides presets for OSM and ESRI TMS services, an option to specify a custom TMS service definition string.
