I would like to be able to make REIL lights for runways manually, using existing library slow lights.

Currently, setting REIL1 and/or RAIL2 to "None" for runway, will not disable RAIL lights, if the runway has Approch Lights selected.
It looks like auto generated Approach Light (group) contains RAIL.
Would you please make RAIL to not be part of Approach Lights, if possible?

I suspect your mean threshold lights - the red and green lights of 4 in a row each.
REIL are the two white flashing stobes well to the side of the threshold. The REIL can be disabled as desired in WED.

The threshold lights do not have a separate control parameter in X-plane (i.e. its a XP limitation) and these threshold lights are enabled as soon as you turn on a runway marking. Yes, the painted markings, not any approach lights as might be more intuitive.

So until X-plane changes that (its on file as XPD-8201 Closed ) there is nothing you can do with WED about it.

Hi Michael. Thank you for the reply. Yes, you are correct, I got my naming wrong. I was referring to green/red threshold lights.

In my X-Plane gateway sceneries, I disable runway markings and create custom marking using X-Plane default polygons.

Initially, I discovered the problem (need for the feature (to be able to independently control/create threshold lights) when I was working on my KFDK airport. Disabling runway markings, does turn off the threshold lights, but if you add approach lights, they (threshold lights) will be part of the approach light group. Ideally, I would like to be able to build the entire approach light system, but it is not possible to program Sequence Flashing "rabbit" lights (at least default, to be included into gateway. I was able to create custom "rabbit" lights for my custom (not gateway) version of KFDK).

I am currently working on my latest gateway addition (big international airport) and was trying to manually create custom threshold lights (make them as they are in real life).

So, the problem I was trying to report:
I would like to be able to independently (from approach lights) create threshold lights. Be able to have approach light system without threshold lights.
