ATC taxi assignment is a possible issue related to X-Plane algorithms. In 2005, US Airways, ceased hub operations at KPIT, thus reducing overall terminal gate usage. Doing research when building the scenery, it would incorrect to show gates with aircraft parked at them when those parts of the entire terminal is closed off. Even though it shows an "unused gate" you can still spawn there, it's just that X-Plane will not place an airplane at those gates. Hopefully, the X-Plane version of KPIT should represent what KPIT might look like if you were to visit the actual airport.

The issue is not really unused gates, that place is pretty dead especially when flying in or out at off hours, so I get the unused gates, but thats the big change I noticed when updating.

The bug is no matter what gate I chose after filing and reading back the flightplan, ATC would no longer do anything when you hit the "Request Taxi" button. Again this only took place after letting Xplane update to 11.33 whose release notes confirm KPIT is updated in that beta update, rolling back to 11.32 all is well.

I upgraded back to 11.33r2 this morning before work. Did not have a lot of time.

At KPIT - No matter what gate is chosen, Submit flightplan, ATC acknowledges, read back flightplan. When you then request taxi nothing happens.

I then tried starting out from gates KLBE, KBWI, and KJST. No issues there. File flightplan and submit, readback, hit request taxi and get instruction to runway.

Go back to KPIT, again no taxi instructions.

Hello, did some experimenting, vanilla update to 1133rc2.

No taxi instructions will be issued from any gate at the midfield terminal, tried A1, A3, some of the C's and D's etc. Taxi instructions will be issued however from the Fed Ex cargo area locations across 28R, the maintenance area etc. Those are the only two I had time this morning to try.

I left the sim updated to 1133rc2, then downloaded and manually installed your prior version dated 25 Sept 18 into the custom scenery folder, and all is fine then for what thats worth if anything.

Something seems to be amiss getting from the Midfield terminal to the taxiways / runways and appears to be something that changed between 25 Sept and your January revision which I am assuming Xplane used for the 1133 updates? I say this without having much of a clue about Xplanes structure.

Please check to see if this Global Airport was updated in 11.33 and verify the comparisison is done with the exact same airport, e.g. by moving th 11.33 Global Airports airports back into 11.30.

The most recent submission sets the ramp start operation type for most gates from "Airline" to "None". Its also removes *essential* parts of a previously correctly set up taxi network, now causing most aircraft to taxi through the terminal buildings and across grass areas to reach their gates:

@Julian These are either gross misunderdstandings by the author or outright data vandalism. Please take immediate action and remove this submission from the recommended status - its functionality is severely degraded from the previous version from the same author in 2018.

As requested, KPIT has been rolled back to submission 63266 pending revisions from the artist.
