Confirmed with another user that he has the same issue with a hilly HECA in 12.09. Will report back and attach HECA fix eartdat file if it solves problem.
Remark from the author of the last versions of HECA: the gateway version with ID 100258 is a workaround of the both problems, but the ID 98360 (which was released with 12.08) is apart from that the same and the preferred version if 12.09's global scenery would be appropiate fixed.

Seems to be a problem with the new Global Scenery of XP 12.09. No problems with 12.08
