Resubmit of 81729 which was rejected to due autogen objects intruding on houses and buildings in town away from the airport. Adjusted exclusion zones by re-sizing and adding facades and draped polys to objects and forests. Moved and/or deleted a few trees. All looks well from now from my examination. Thanx, Headwind H

Third try. This Beaumont Hotel Airport airport in Kansas is checked-out by me. This is a re-re-submit of packages 81653 and 81548 accepted in early Dec. 2020 and 70093 approved in July, 2019. I am working on this airport in the gateway to look as realistic as practical within the contraints of the allowed default 'lib' objects as a stand alone airport and to complement a detailed 'HWH Historic Beaumont Airport KS 07S' custom scenery package uploaded to X-Plane.org. The custom scenery contains many original iconic objects that required me to fine tune exclusions zone in this airport scenery to allow iconic custom objects that have been hidden to now show properly. Airport boundry extends a narrow corridor along the access road that aircraft use from the south end of runway to the aircraft parking area across a city street from the hotel to allow aircraft to park and ramp start at the hotel area, as is the charm of Beaumont Hotel Airport. In this submission I moved trees around to keep them away from town streets and nearby ponds that show when photo orthos are used. Adjusted airport boundry on the north end back to the south across the highway and closer to the runway. Adjusted the fence around water tower area to allow realistic static aircraft display in custom scenery. This setup now works well and looks good with and without custom scenery being used. Lets hope this version does the trick. Cheers, Headwind

Re-subit updates and improvements to 81518 (12-13-20) which updates recommended 70094 by HeadwindH (07-30-2019). Beaumont Hotel Airport (now 07S, formerly 7K9) in Southeast Kansas is a very popular fly-in sight highlighted in many pictures and videos on the internet. The Historical 140 year old Hotel/Resturant railroad steam engine watering stop in the Southeast corner, inside the city limits, of a small town which now has a population of about 50 people. The hotel/resturant is now served by a 2,400' long grass runway which was built in the 1950s to give real airport access to the hotel. Pilots had been landing on the city street in front of the hotel (with permission from the city) since the 1930's. The ruway area is connected to an asphalt and grass aircraft parking area by a narrow, rough asphault, town road almost 1/2 mile away. The parking area is surrounded by the hotel/resturant, 'Frisco' water-tower,the oldest operating wood water-tower in the U.S., an old, restored 'Santa Fe' caboose rail-car on a section of track siding, a replica of the old train station along the now non-existing main tracks, The is a static display of an old 'Twin Beech' next to the tower. The hotel and resturant are still operatiing in season and are a very popular spot for fly-in meetings, car and motor-cycle clubs and just a $100 hamburger with people from all over the country. In order to allow access to the aircraft ramp area and the city street between the hotel and ramp and to allow ramp starts from the hotel the airport boundry had to be extended from the south end of the runway almost 1/2 mile to the West to included the hotel ramp and part of the city street connecting it to the road to the runway. Another issue is that unrealist high trees grow along the east/west highway across the north end of the runway right on the center-line which blocks the real-life clear approach right down to the threshold and gives unrealisticly high take-off obstecles on the up-hill, short, grass runway. Excluding the road network in a small area north of the center-line kills about a mile of the road and it's auto/truck traffic. Extending a narrow corridor of Airport Boundry across the highway along the center-line will at least keep the road alive while eliminating light poles and trees on the center-line ONCE the base mesh is re-cut in some future X-Plane updates. This airport is not flattened and the future texture change and smoothing caused by an enlarged airport boundry should have a positive effect. This proposed airport version is being used by me locally with custom scenery containing several original icon objects, signs and buildings related to Historic Beaumont Hotel Kansas created and uploaded to X-Plane.org. The current recommended version 70094 has large coarse exclusions zones which prevent spawing of custom scenery near the hotel and ramp area unless the custome scenery is placed above the Global Airports in scenery_pack.ini. This update corrects that. If necessary, any questions or suggestions while evaluating this package can be sent to headwindh@cox.net. Search for 'Beaumont Hotel Airport' in Kansas (not the Colorado Beaumont Hotel) and find tons of information, pictures, and videos about this airport (FAA:07S, X-Plane:7K9). Cheers, HeadwindH

Beaumont Hotel 70S (formerly 7K9) update to previous approved version by HeadwindH. Adjusted airport boundry to accomadate ramp parking at the hotel in town which requires a 1/4 mile taxi on a town road from the runway. The boundry had to be extended to the ramp at the hotel to pass validation. That is how is really works here at a very popular fly-in hotel/restruant. Very popular with car and motorcycle clubs. Not a very smooth road between the hotel ramp and the 2,400' grass runway. VRF/Day Added many buildings/silos (for watertanks), and trees. Excluded many autogen area which showed too many houses and buildings. Adjusted exclusion zones at hotel ramp area to allow placement of iconic objects that make Beaumont Hotel a popular attraction in custom scenery, including the old 'Frisco' steam locomotive water tower, railcar on a replaced track section, displayed aircraft, and replica railroad station. Airplanes and cars do share the road at the hotel. The AI road south and east of the hotel has active car traffic. The road between the hotel ramp and the runway is made with alphalt poly to keep cars off that section. This is an unorthodox airport but that is how it really works here. Kind of hard for the AI validation to understand. Stop in and check it out. Check your insurance. Some insurances companies don't like the rough road being used for a taxiway and sharing the road at the hotel with cars and motorcycles if they allow grass runaws at all. We don't have that problem in X-Plane do we? Cheers, HeadwindH

07S Beaumont Hotel, Kansas: Re-submission of recommended airport in April, 2019. Fixed 'flying' hotel that had MSL set incorrectly. 3D build of popular fly-in 2400' VFR/Day grass airport at edge of town. Taxi into town to hotel/restruant. Antique car and motorcycle groups like to come here too. Always something going on during nice weekends. HeadwindH

07S Beaumont Hotel, Kansas. Formerly 7K9 Summit House. 3D Build-up re-submission to add Ramp Starts as per Gateway upload requirement. Check your insurance and rental policy before going there. The road/taxiway has dinged a few props over the years. HeadwindH
