- 80259 – DLH560 09/30/2020Airport Boundary now following the perimeter fence line and/or colocated camps of the African Union and United Nations, that are not owned by the Somali government but belong to the airport.Approved Recommended
- 79882 – DLH560 09/12/2020Forest area removed as requested; minor optimization at the apronSee comments
- 78844 – DLH560 07/06/2020Scenery overhaul providing more apron details and a massive extension of the airport periphery to precisely fill OSM data gaps.See comments
- 78187 – DLH560 06/06/2020Added some object/facade exclusions to better fit the scenery into autogen environment when maximum object density is selected within the graphics settings. Also the "Always Flatten" option is activated again because the terrain is way too bumpy for a safe landing. Most buildings seem to partly hover without "Always Flattening" activated.Approved
- 77944 – DLH560 05/27/2020Taxi routes are no longer linked to ramp starts.See comments
- 77542 – DLH560 05/16/2020Complete rebuilt from scratch HCMM scenery according to current AIP Somalia. The AD Parking Chart of the AIP is left blank with the comment that it needs to be developed. The scenery parking layout is somewhat close to what can be observed on satellite imagery and public reports (almost chaos but well structured to make X-Plane handle AI traffic). According to AIP RWY 05 is used for landing only only and RWY 23 for departure only - no matter what the wind direction is (due to Al Shabaab terror threat level). This has been integrated to the scenery (but creates two warnings that I cannot fix). For RWY 05 an APAPI (abbreviated PAPI) is mounted in real world. X-Plane does not support APAPI so I used a VASI which on approach looks very similar to the pilot. The RWY lights are very limited in reality and I configured them matching current AIP as close as possible (the HCMM scenery that currently comes with X-Plane shows a total fake RWY light system). The OSM road data is some what unprecise so I had to be a little creative to place the area items around the airport but all items are at least pretty colocated to their real counter parts. Also the Mogadishu airport area is incredibly full of shipping containers and masses of unidentified materials that are "stored" unsheltered. Due to lacking objects, I created areas with sheds and other objects to at least provide a plausible atmosphere (altough Mogadishu is not as tidy and clean as it looks like in the scenery).See comments
