KBTF has no runways according to the current FAA CIFP file, which makes it "not an airport" for X-Plane (because it doesn't have a helipad either). As to why the FAA exports no runways for this airport, I have no idea, and you'd need to ask the FAA. X-Plane displays exactly what the FAA exports.
Hi Philipp, Thanks for the prompt responce, ok so I think I understand what your saying, that X-Plane 11 reads the FAA CIFP file (can't find a Rwy or helipad at KBTF) and marks KBTF "not an airport", so it dosn't appear in the default C-172SP, Baron and KingAir GPS displays?. But I'm still a bit confused. If the current FAA CIFP file says it's "not an airport" or "helipad", how come KBTF appears in the default S-76C's GPS530?. And how come KBTF also appears in the C-172 Float Plane's GPS530 when the current FAA CIFP file obviously dosn't say KBTF has water runways, eg. no Suffixe (W) in the FAA CIFP file?
Thanks cessna729.
That's simply because the S76 and the C172 float plane have been set up in Plane Maker to display airports without runways as well. The S-76 because it's a helicopter and must display helipads without runways, and the 172 amphib because it must display seaplane bases that also might have no designated runways.
When using the FAA CIFP 1905 as a "Global Overide", eg. renamed as earth_424.dat in the Custom Data folder, the default C-172Sp and Baron do not list or accept KBTF as valid. But the default S-76C and C-172SP Seaplane Do!! See https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/121327-faa-cifp/&do=findComment&comment=1647917 for details.

Thanks for that, I think I've got it now. I wonder why the FAA dosn't list any runways at KBTF in their CIFP file but obviously do on the rest of their data eg. https://nfdc.faa.gov/nfdcApps/services/ajv5/airportDisplay.jsp?airportId=kbtf#runway_17_35 ?
