This is not a bug. You won't receive earth.wed.xml just by downloading the scenery. Those files are generated after you save a project. You would need to import the airport from the gateway within WED, then do your adjustments. However, I'd be happy to make any corrections that you need?
Hello. Other airports I pull up in WED show the objects and such as normal, but this one shows nothing but a base image, nothing that would have been built in WED.
Again, that’s because you’re trying to open the airport from the scenery pack that you downloaded. If you’re used to 3rd party scenery, often you’ll get those .xml files. However, if you download gateway scenery, you won’t. You need to import the airport directly within WED. File menu/import from scenery gateway.
I see that you are very new with WED, but we all were at one point. I recommend consulting the manual, however, I will walk you through this. The reason you can't import from the gateway is that you are not within a scenery project. You need to create a new scenery package with the bottom left button, give it a name, then open that package with the bottom middle button. Once inside your new scenery package which will be empty, THEN you can import from the gateway. You cannot do that from the main WED window.
The download is missing the earth.wed.xml files.
So nothing shows up in WED
X-Plane 12.
