"UNIT" is a valid ICAO code, according to http://www.caiga.ru/DocAni/manual_of_4_letter_indexes/Indexes_of_Airports.pdf

A ICAO recognized airport is only what the ICAO publishes in its own Document 7910 - access to it is only available by paid for subsciptions, unfortunately.
Similarly, the ICAO also charges substancial fee's to have an airport reistered with them and puts minimal operational requirements on airports it accepts - like a minimum annual passenger traffic volume.
So its IMO unlikely this small runway in Siberia would be registered with the ICAO.
Its also not listed here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_airports_by_ICAO_code:_U#UN_(Western_Siberia), although that list isn't always right, either. The vast majority of data available on the internet is very inaccurate for these reasons of no free publications.
I can't read russian - but I'm pretty sure the document will have somewhere some hint on any of the codes in there being a identifier only recognized by the CIS authorities or if its truely a ICAO registered one.

We all understand the problem of validation of ICAO codes!
However the document I referenced is published by the Russia's Federal Agency of Air Transport. Secondly, it states "Для пунктов, использующихся в системе ИКАО, дополнительно приводятся указатели (индексы) местоположения в латинской транслитерации." This translates as "For places used in the ICAO system, location designators (indexes) are also shown in Latin transliteration." Also these Latin designators appear in the column titled "International" (the Cyrillic designators are "National").
I suggest that, on balance, UNIT is likely to be a valid ICAO code.
P.S. Wikipedia is hardly a reliable reference. However if you do choose to rely on it for such matters, there is a brief article on this airport: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tura_Airport

If it clearly says so - fair enough.
