Julian Lockwood reported issue XSG-174: Hangar object looks like a... in reference to scenery pack 3 on November 13, 2014 3:28 PM
Closed

Downloaded this scenery pack from the Gateway and rendered it in a standard install of X-Plane 10.30. There is a black hole on the ground at the location of a med_brown_hangar.agp object. The apt.dat and .dsf files look normal in WED.

    Ben,

I've noticed this behavior while making my airports but haven't been able to get enough data to submit a meaningful bug report.
What I can tell you is that changing the Show with ... parameter from 1 (Default) to 2 or higher and then View | Object Density menu item to match will show the hanger in WED. I have found two work-arounds so far 1) – and this doesn't work all the time – is to change the location slightly, and 2) replace the bad hangar with a different one of the same size.

I've attached an edited version changing the brown hangar to a blue one, which works.

    Hope that helps.

This is a defect in the .agp file (the art asset) for the medium brown hangar. Here is what needs to happen:

    1. This bug needs to get moved over to X-Plane's internal bug base so that Alex U can fix it when he next edits the library (probably for 1040, possibly for 1035).

    2. The scenery pack should be approved as is - it looks good in higher rendering settings, and it will function correctly as soon as X-Plane is patched.

I filed a report on this with the X-Plane bug reporter.
Let me know if you have a preferred way to do this internally.

    Cheers.

This bug was fixed, the status should be changed to DONE.
