mauricecohen reported issue XSG-11156: Missing large Pilatus complex in reference to scenery pack 80413 on December 6, 2020 7:35 PM
Closed

There is an iconic facility at Metro that is still missing: the Pilatus complex by the entrance to runway 12R. It sits adjacent to taxiways F and D7. See attached Google map snipshot.
Mountain Flyer, please add it (and many thanks for your last update).

I was wrong to report this as a bug, the complex is there. Please close or remove this report.

Mountain Flyer, thank you very much for this update. There is an iconic facility at Metro that is still missing: the Pilatus complex by the entrance to runway 12R. Would you consider adding it? PS I am not sure you are notified of Comments, so I will also report this as an issue.

I'm sorry you are having a problem ,but I just checked this in XPlane and the facility is there. I have added everything that is in Google Earth that I could see. If you can't see it maybe it got lost in the upload.

My apologies, it is indeed there. I must have launched my 11.50 installation, instead of 11.51b3, of X-Plane (I always keep the last stable) when I looked earlier. Great job on this airport, thank you again.

I see the Pilatus complex as well. BTW, MountainFlyer, great job on the refit. For the record, I'm not messing with the airport but with some of the bordering structures that the VFR students (like myself) use to help see the facility from a distance.

Topgunpilott--My old policy was to put most of the extra building outside of the airport boundries for just your reason for airport recognition purposes. However the latest update to WED and the gateway policies will not let an airport get approved if any buildings exist outside of the airport boundry. On a case by case basis some buildings will be allowed, but most will not, so I just add them and not send that portion to the gateway. Makes both parties happy... Thanks Topgun and Maurice for your kind words.
