An unknown user reported issue XSG-2864: Illegal version (line 2) in reference to scenery pack 51777 on April 6, 2017 2:42 PM
Closed

My submissions are not being approved by Julian. he says in the E-mails "Your scenery submission for the airport KOGD, submitted Sat Apr 01 2017 08:09:52 GMT-0500 (CDT) could not be approved.

This means the moderator found an issue with the scenery pack, and the scenery is therefore not eligible for inclusion in a future version of X-Plane. The reason for this can be viewed by clicking the 'See Comments' button on the submission's scenery page.

Must be derived from submission 50751 (due to runway number and length corrections). When I try to open the package he sais I need to work from (50751) I get an error message. (see attached screenshot). Any idea when these revised WEDBOT files will be ready so we can work on them?

We strongly recommend that you use the "Import from Airport Scenery Gateway" function instead of downloading Gateway scenery and importing the apt.dat. Using WED 1.6 and importing the Gateway data should bypass the error.

I THOUGHT WE COULD NOT SUBMIT SCENERY TO THE GATEWAY WITH 1.6BETA. HAS THAT CHANGED YET?

  • Jennifer Roberts April 7, 2017 8:17 AM

NO YOU CANNOT SUBMIT SCENERY TO THE GATEWAY WITH 1.6 YET. But you can IMPORT with it! Our expectation / hope was that scenery artists would use WED 1.6 to create new scenery and simply HOLD ON TO IT until it was allowed to be uploaded.

Thanks, Jennifer. Please close this one. You know I'll be "bugging" you with more! LOL !!

Alan Heiner reported issue XSG-7537: Tear in mesh on May 1, 2019 10:43 PM

There is a tear in the scenery mesh north of RWY 21 at approx 41.204, -112.00 to 41.214, -112.00. I noticed this while working on this airport.

This is a typical rift between two adjoining dsf tiles (here -112 deg longitude), with slight elevation differences between the tiles. This will hopefully get fixed with future Xplane versions (better mesh).
