Hi everyone,

I'm planning on upgrading this airport with the latest assets provided by Laminar. Is anyone working on this as well? GAMA are you planning on an upgrade or is it ok to proceed?

Cheers,

Pedro.

@pedromagueija Did you start updating it? Else I will do it.

@flyingpauls

Hi, yes I have started some time ago. Because it's such a big airport it is taking some time.

Tiny detail: The taxiway underneath M does not extend to the core of the runway 02/20. So there is one light in the middle of the taxiway on the North side of the crossing M-02/20.

Hi flyingpauls,

I'll fix it as soon as possible. Check here again later for the update.

Thanks for the report.

Cheers.

    I can confirm the runway number change - but fixing this will need to wait until the CIFP data in XPlane is up to date. I have the airport ready to go as soon as it is updated, though.

as you can see in the official site, runways have chnaged numbers.

https://www.aena.es/en/josep-tarradellas-barcelona-el-prat/get-to-know-us/history.html

On 24 March, 2022, the airport's parallel runways will change their name. Runway 25R/07L, the closest to Terminal T2, will be identified as 24R/06L, while 25L/07R, which is closer to the sea, will become 24L/06R. These designation changes are due to an orientation adjustment, since the runway departure points are assigned from the first two figures corresponding to the departure points, which change gradually due to the continuous variation in the magnetic North’s position.
