The LIQL airport has to be translated about 2 nm southwards (please see
attached screenshot - simheaven photoscenery, exactly same as Google Maps)

This is a problem similar to what I encountered before:
When doing a scenery, it is for many locations in the world hard to obtain precisely georeferenced images in the right projection and reference system. So in that case I usually assume the runway is already in the best known location and simply take a google maps screenshot and adjust that image to fit the existing runway, then do all the artwork improvements based on that. That's what the author might have done here - the runway in the scenery pack is is the same location as in the original apt.dat file ...

Some googling brings up two sources for runway data:
    http://airportnavfinder.com/airport/LIQL/
The above is the exact location as in the apt.dat/scenery.
    https://skyvector.com/airport/LIQL/Lucca-Airport
That second source puts the runway about 0.25 miles to the south, about where the photo scenery suggest it might be,
but the heading is still a bit off, Magnetic variation reported for that location is about 0deg, so its not likely to be a mixup of magnetic and true north reference.
So iif it were me, I'd download it from the gateway with the new WED 1.4, select everything, drag and rotate it to fit the photo scenery better. Then I'd check using the XP default and HD_mesh_V3 scenery that it still fit's in with the highway on the south side. I would not want to make it fit my perferred photo scenery, but screw it up for all other users. Also, it might need some some exclusion zones added, which a quick testflight with all maxed out road & object density will show.
Once that is done, I'd re-upload it to the gateway with a comment pointing out the relocation.

    Hi Michael,

I havent checked that airport, but since you said "if it were me" - why don´t you fix the airport? This is what the scenery gateway´s intention is. There is no "ownership" of airports, you can just download the package (from within WED 1.4!), fix it, and upload the fixed version again... I agree that it would be cool if the original author did it, but they might not even know about the complaint, or are not interested anymore...
    Cheers, Jan
