FAKE ICAO IDS were created originally by my developing group VisionReal.Com.Ar back in 2000 when we developed sceneries for FS2000 that only allowed 4 leters codenames.
This is now obsolete in X-Plane and is outdated more than 23 years. Must be deprecated and replaced by real 3 letter local code (real one) to allow the usage of real navigation databases where those false codes shouldn't be used.
These are not in scenery as ICAO codes, they are airport identifiers. The correct ICAO codes can be edited in metadata. There is no need to delete these.
These are X-Plane airport identifiers, not ICAO codes. There is no need to delete these. The ICAO code can be added using WED and resubmitting to Gateway.
And in addition - if a GPS function displays these codes instead of the ICAO codes set in meta data (or FAA codes or Local codes) then this needs to be brought to the attention of the dev for that GPS function and he needs to correct his code to read the correct data.

Yes there is, because they appear incorrectly in GPS. X-Plane GPS takes this forged pseudo-ICAO codes and it's WRONG and confuses many people.
I spent about 2 months explaining this to ForeFlight developers.
