Field elevation in X-Plane 12 is given as 2,020' above MSL. The correct elevation (as shown both in the Canada VFR Supplement and ForeFlight) is 2,820' above MSL.

The currently approved scenery package has no specified altitude (cf. https://gateway.x-plane.com/airports/AA8/show). The difference is probably caused by a terrain mismatch.
