checked the runway centreline alignment - looks perfect. Vertical glidepath unchecked. Cannot be changed by mere mortals like artists! This airport is one of the 11.3 updated airports so half of the problem should be solved if not both

I just flew an autopilot coupled approach to 50 feet (ILS 25 EDDS) in 11.30r2 - and the ILS (LOC+GS) could not be aligned any better. Also - great job on that airport, Ron!
Cheers, Jan

Ok. Currently I am using navigraph airac 1813 for the navdata. Does it influence ILS data as well or is that a different data source?
Jan Vogel January 7, 2019 6:42 PM
Hi Jakob,
using updated navdata (in the Custom Data folder) SHOULD not have any effects on the ILS installations (LOC and GS). That data is in the earth_nav.dat which is in Custom Scenery/global airports/earth nav data. It always overrides any other ILS data.
Viele Grüße, Jan

Thanks for the clarification. Is there a way to verify that the earth nav data is the original one and not been overwritten somehow? Will it be replaced by the X-Plane installer?
Jan Vogel January 7, 2019 9:54 PM
Yes, it will be overwritten by the installer if you let it run again. It will detect that it was altered or replaced and ask if you want to overwrite it with the original one. I sometimes replace it with an updated Navigraph file to test where the official-data ILS installations are (but I make a backup copy first). If you ever find wrong or outdated ILS data, you can file a bug report on the Scenery Gateway (choose the NAVAID) tab.
Cheers, Jan
