Awesome, thanks for performing this merge - really great to see our combined work in the sim! (I hope you hadn't already started on terminal buildings yourself.)

Gates 17 and 15 are both marked by the same number (15) on the ground.

I believe this was fixed with 77082 and should be in XPlane with next scenery injection.

AlexDeb commented on May 4, 2020 11:18 AM

YawString!

Yes, I also began to change buildings and gates, but I liked your version more :)

bbus commented in reference to scenery pack 74081 on May 8, 2020 7:00 AM

Great to see that you picked up on my old work. I was planning to do an upgrade to the new brick system, but never got the time. It's more than 10 years since I did the first version whilst being on a long sick leave :)

AlexDeb commented in reference to scenery pack 77466 on May 25, 2020 11:54 AM

Sorry, I can’t upload the corrected version to the gateway, because I was forced to switch to X-PLAN 11.50b 9 (VR Oculus now only works on the Vulcan render).

upd: with last fix from Laminar for Oculus driver ver 17 ,downgrade to 11.41 and upload scenery again. Don’t know what happens.

snoopy_belgium reported issue XSG-14793: road on taxiway U at ESSA in reference to scenery pack 78968 on October 27, 2023 9:15 AM

Taxiway U between runway 01R and apron R crosses a road. In the scenery the road is not in a tunnel and the planes have to climb the road for crossing.

flygplansmat reported issue XSG-15110: Houses in reference to scenery pack 100307 on February 1, 2024 9:49 PM
Closed

Beside taxiways Whisky, UniformGolf and Uniform there's residential houses, many of them. This is very unrealistic because beside taxiway Whiskey there's a big long time parking for the airport, some hangars beside UniformGolf & Uniform, and many trees. It's almost painful to imagine taxiing via Uniform and see a villa just to the left of the taxiway. Please remove the residential houses and add the things I mentioned.

That is just the way the default autogen scenery works - you may have to wait until a new scenery system improves this, modeling areas outside the airport is not within the scope of Gateway airport artists.

  • flygplansmat February 3, 2024 8:56 AM

    Okay thanks for your response!

  • Jan Vogel February 3, 2024 8:58 AM

If it really bothers you, it would take less than 60 seconds to fix this by importing the airport into WED, adding an exclusion zones for “objects” around the area and then clicking “export scenery pack”.

  • Jan Vogel June 25, 2025 3:00 PM

This is just the way the current scenery approach works - with autogen outside of the airport boundary being not perfect sometimes.

Taxiway U has a big obstacle. Near apron E, taxiway U connects the apron to Runway 19L.

it is possible that you have the Sim Heaven Screnery installed. I have not been able to detect any errors. However, if the Sim Heaven Screnery is installed, the highway crosses the taxiway. This is due to the file “simHeaven_X-World_Europe-8-network”. I could set an Exlusion Zone there, but I am not sure if it is allowed, because the Sim Heaven Screnerys are an extension of X-Plane.

  • SidKishna April 8, 2025 12:37 PM

    Hi Peter

Thanks, yes indeed, I use Sim Heaven Europe.

  • Peter Günnewig April 9, 2025 6:51 AM

In this case you can remove the "simHeaven_X-World_Europe-8-network" from your custom scenery folder or disable the file, if you fly to ESSA and everything will be fine.
